Every year Norton Street in Leichhardt closes to traffic, and becomes the centre for the Italian Festival. This year, October 28th became host to everything Italian, and many other nationalities took part in keeping the crowd fed with traditional food from their homeland. There was live entertainment, rides for the kids, and a great display of Italian cars, old and new. Plus a few mopeds.
The last image is of Robbo. He bailed me up after I passed his stall yet again doing my rounds finding opportunities to photograph the festival. He was selling German sausages in a bun with lashings of mustard and sauerkraut, and looked the part with hat and moustache. Guten Tag Herr Robbo!
I also came across a very suspect grandmother greeting anyone who passed.
Julius Caesar I assume, was also present.
